The purpose of our Welcome Ministry is to extend hospitality to people who participate in Sunday morning worship and Sunday School programs at Oxford United Methodist Church. To become involved in any of the following activities, contact the church office at (513) 523-5115 or oumc@oumc.org.
Curbside Courtesy
Ensures that all persons are able to enter our building safely. This may involve escorting individuals from the curbside to the building, providing wheel chair access to the building, or opening doors. Curbside Courtesy workers also make sure that the sidewalks are clear under icy or snowy conditions.
Pew Stuffer
Provide information materials for the pews on Sunday morning.
Ushers
Greet people when they enter the Sanctuary and provide whatever assistance is needed in finding suitable seating. Ushers also take up the morning offering.
Fellowship Hour Hosts
Provide snacks and beverages for the the Sunday Morning Fellowship Hour held in Fellowship Hall.
Elevator Decorator
Decorate the inside walls of the elevator so that they are attractive and pleasing to passengers.
Greeters
Provide a friendly welcome inside the main entrances to the Sanctuary Building and Education Building on Sunday morning, and provide whatever information is needed by persons coming into the church.
First Time Visitors
Greet first time visitors after the service, and provide a welcome bag with more information about the church.
