Pastor Karen Montgomery will lead the 8:30 worship service at Oxford United Methodist Church. Union Services with the Oxford Presbyterian Church continue at 10:00 with Pastors Mark and Barbara Barnes leading the service in the OUMC sanctuary.
OUMC Senior Pastor Fred Shaw will be the guest preacher at Historic Hopewell Church. Saturday is the National Day of the Cowboy. Pastor Shaw will reflect upon the good news of Christ from Ephesians 6:13-19 in which Paul challenges Christians to "put on the armor of God." He will transpose Paul's metaphor into putting on "the outfit of God" referring to the clothing and accoutrements of the cowhand.
