Nehemiah 2:17-18 (NIV): Then I said to them, “You see the trouble we are in: Jerusalem lies in ruins, and its gates have been burned with fire. Come, let us rebuild the wall of Jerusalem, and we will no longer be in disgrace.” I also told them about the gracious hand of my God upon me and what the king had said to me. They replied, “Let us start rebuilding.” So they began this good work. Nehemiah finished the task in 52 days!
God is in the business of rebuilding broken lives. Welcome to a series on the book of Nehemiah. Can you think of some things that once shook you to the core, but then over the period of time began to happen so much that it just feels normal?
The real good news of Epiphany is that God, even in the face of rejection, still extends his love to us so that we may be freed from the bondage of our sins, and that we can be under the reign of our Lord Jesus Christ. His Good News is more powerful than our rejection.
