Dear Church Family,
I hope this note finds you well and enjoying the pleasant breeze in this beautiful spring season. I just love it!
Please pray with me for God’s peace and comfort for the members of our church family who have recently lost their loved ones. Please also pray for those who are recovering from surgeries and those dealing with health concerns.
In the recent weeks I have been meditating and reflecting on God’s Word and God’s world. Thanking God the Father for sending God the Son, Jesus Christ, into the world to bring the fragmented and broken world to Himself that we may all find restoration in Him. Apostle Peter reminds us that each one of us is a living stone, and together we are being built into a spiritual house to give comfort, shelter, protection, and hope to one another in the family and to the broken world around us.
Let’s Remind Ourselves That:
Oxford United Methodist Church (OUMC) is a loving, caring and compassionate community of God’s people that welcomes, receives and cares for all those who come into our wide-open doors. We are a vibrant community of believers who come together to study God’s word, pray, enjoy each other’s fellowship and support one another through small groups. We are committed disciples of Jesus Christ, and we passionately reach out to the world through the Gospel and by participating in God’s mission both locally and globally.
Our church family is intentional in nurturing and ministering to people of all ages and in celebrating together. Our church facility is intentional in providing heartfelt formal and informal settings for worship services, including traditional and non-traditional styles of music. The multicultural makeup of our Sunday worship services is a glimpse into heaven where people from nations gather together before the throne of God to worship and glorify God. (Revelation 7:9)
