Ministries/Programs

Introduction

The programs and ministries provide Christian growth and faith formation experiences for persons of all ages.  Individuals are encouraged to grow in the following three fundamental aspects of becoming a disciple of Jesus Christ.
  1. Understanding and knowing about Christ's life and how that knowledge is relevant to modern life.
  2. Developing a strong spiritual relationship with Christ.
  3. Expressing faith by giving time, talents and gifts in ways that enable others to experience God's love.

The first two aspects of disciple making listed above are addressed specifically in various Sunday School classes and other small group programs for pre-school children, school-age children and youth.  A wide range of small group opportunities that promote discipleship and spiritual formation are also available for adults and college students.

Many opportunities exist for putting faith into action through Christian service and mission activities.  Specific examples include Congregational Care, Welcome Ministry, Missions Committee and United Methodist Women.
